A sick child.

Annie has been attending the youthtown school holiday programme these past two weeks. She started vomiting on Tuesday so I had to leave work to pick her up. By the late eveing she was still vomiting so I took her to Waitakere hospital. They treated her with a aniti nausae tablet and paedialite. They said there is a bug going around, a tummy bug virus and sent us home. I'm glad I took her to the hospital beacause it was really starting to worry me, but they were very thorough and made sure she didn't have menengitis. Two days later and we are still home but she is feeling better today, just very sore.

It's Friday.

Annie is going on school camp on Monday to Mangawhai, which is 90 minutes north of Auckland, so today is tent pitching practise day at school.Good luck! She is taking our survival kit tent as we put up one of her play tents, a nice camouflage tent, but it leaked in the heavy rain we've had this week.I forgot to take a photo but will get her to take one today and download it later.
Annie wasn't well yesterday so we both stayed home .I spent part of the day in the garden while Annie rested.I put compost in  2 of the raised vege gardens and removed another. Ive decided to put some of the area near the path into lawn. I have almost a half acre of land and as I get older the harder it seems to physically do everything. The rain we've had this week has made it easier to work with the soil.
I picked a 3 kgs of green tomatoes to make chutney and some runner beans for dinner. Made strawberry sauce out of the leftover colander of strawberries I picked yesterday.

Life is wonderful in our little piece of heaven.
